"Little Mazury" in Masovia. This is the cleanest lake in the area.

Think a trip to the Masurian lakes is the only solution if you want to enjoy clean water and beautiful nature? Nothing could be further from the truth. If you live in southern or central Poland and don't want to venture all the way to the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , you can stay in Masovia. Lake Białe, as well as the entire Gostynin Lake District, are called "Little Masuria." And for good reason.
Little Masuria in MasoviaThe Gostynin Lake District and Lake Białe, which is part of it, are located in the Masovian Voivodeship, in Gostynin County. These places are very popular with tourists, especially in summer. They have also been appreciated by filmmakers and photographers. For example, part of Andrzej Wajda's film "Sweet Rush" was filmed at one of the lakes. Today, visitors can expect idyllic landscapes, beaches, and waters perfect for swimming.
How does Masovia compare to Masuria? The Gostynin Lake District boasts a total of approximately 60 lakes, located in Gostynin and the entire commune. It's precisely this number that makes Poles associate this area with the famous Masurian lakes. Of course, there aren't as many as in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, but it's still an impressive number. Some Masovian waters in this region are particularly prized for their crystal-clear water, beaches, and natural beauty. In this respect, Lake Białe is a local gem.
Lake Białe is perfect for summerA holiday at Lake Białe will provide many positive experiences. Once there, you'll feel like you're in Masuria and enjoy a relaxing swim. This lake is a quiet zone, with treeless shores and a wealth of viewpoints. It boasts numerous sandy beaches, including private ones.
The most important aspect of Lake Białe is its clean water—often considered crystal clear. This makes this area a favorite among divers. Its great depth also makes it ideal for immersion—in places, it reaches depths of up to 31 meters. Interestingly, a car wreck and a fishing boat can be spotted at the bottom of the lake, adding to the attractions.
While in the area, it's also worth visiting the stud farm in Łąck, which was the largest stallion breeding facility in Poland before World War II, and the castle in Gostynin. Water sports and boat rentals are available on the lake itself. The entire Gostynin Lake District region has much more to offer; in addition to numerous lakes, the area is also diversified by forests, high hills, embankments, and hollows with no outlet.
